General Disclaimer

All information, content, tools, data, analysis, threat assessments, risk ratings, and other materials provided through the Sentinel platform and website (collectively, the "Service") are provided for informational purposes only. Nothing contained in the Service constitutes a solicitation, recommendation, endorsement, or offer to buy or sell any security, digital asset, financial instrument, or other financial product.

Sentinel Labs, Inc. is a technology company providing security analysis tools. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial institution, custodian, money services business, or licensed legal or tax professional in any jurisdiction. Our Service is designed to help users understand the security posture of their on-chain wallets; it is not designed to provide personalized financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.

Reliance on any information provided by Sentinel is solely at your own risk. Sentinel expressly disclaims all responsibility for any loss, damage, liability, or expense incurred by any person as a result of reliance on any information or analysis generated by the Service.

02

Not Financial, Investment, Legal, or Tax Advice

Nothing on this website or within the Service constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, legal advice, or tax advice. Sentinel is not registered as an investment adviser under the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or under the laws of any other jurisdiction. Sentinel is not a law firm, accounting firm, or tax advisory service.

Any security assessment, risk score, threat rating, or recommendation generated by the Service represents an automated, algorithmic evaluation of publicly available on-chain data. Such assessments are inherently incomplete and may not reflect the full risk profile of any given wallet, protocol, or asset. They do not take into account your individual financial situation, investment objectives, tax position, risk tolerance, or any other personal circumstances.

You should not make any financial, investment, or legal decision based solely on information provided by Sentinel. Before taking any action based on a scan result — including revoking approvals, transferring assets, or ceasing to interact with any protocol — you should conduct your own independent research and, where appropriate, consult with a qualified financial adviser, attorney, or tax professional licensed in your jurisdiction.

03

No Custody, No Transaction Execution

Sentinel does not at any time hold, control, manage, or have access to your cryptocurrency, digital assets, tokens, private keys, seed phrases, or any other cryptographic material. Sentinel is a read-only analysis tool. We access publicly available blockchain data using standard RPC calls that do not require any form of authorization from your wallet.

Sentinel cannot and does not initiate, sign, broadcast, or submit any transaction to any blockchain on your behalf. When the Service presents an option to "revoke" an approval, this action is performed by your own wallet application upon your explicit instruction and signature — Sentinel plays no role in the execution of that transaction. Sentinel shall bear no liability for any transaction you choose to execute, whether in connection with a scan result or otherwise.

Because Sentinel never holds funds and cannot initiate transactions, Sentinel cannot be held responsible for any loss of digital assets arising from the user's own actions, including but not limited to approving transactions, sending funds to incorrect addresses, or interacting with malicious contracts.

04

Cryptocurrency and Digital Asset Risks

Cryptocurrency and digital assets carry substantial risks. Users should be fully aware of the following before engaging with any digital asset or decentralized application:

  • Volatility risk: The value of cryptocurrencies and digital assets is highly volatile and can decline rapidly, including to zero. Entire investment amounts can be lost. Past price performance is not indicative of future results.
  • Smart contract risk: Even audited smart contracts may contain undiscovered vulnerabilities. Formal verification and security audits reduce but do not eliminate risk. Contract bugs, logic errors, and economic exploits have caused losses in excess of hundreds of millions of dollars in audited protocols.
  • Counterparty and protocol risk: Centralized and decentralized protocols, exchanges, custodians, and bridges may fail, be exploited, or become insolvent. Assets held in or approved to third-party contracts are subject to the security and solvency of those contracts and the entities controlling them.
  • Regulatory risk: The regulatory environment for cryptocurrency and digital assets is evolving rapidly and varies significantly by jurisdiction. Changes in applicable law may adversely affect the legality, usability, or value of digital assets. Certain assets or activities may be illegal in your jurisdiction.
  • Loss of access: If you lose access to your seed phrase or private key, your digital assets are permanently and irrecoverably lost. There is no customer support mechanism, recovery service, or court order that can restore access to a non-custodial wallet without the original credentials.
  • Phishing and social engineering: Attackers continuously develop new phishing techniques, fake websites, impersonation schemes, and social engineering tactics. No security tool — including Sentinel — can guarantee protection against all such threats. User vigilance is always the first line of defense.
  • Network and infrastructure risk: Blockchain networks may experience congestion, forks, downtime, or other technical failures that affect transaction execution, timing, and costs.
Risk acknowledgment

You acknowledge that you understand the risks described above and accept full responsibility for all decisions you make in connection with digital assets and decentralized protocols. Sentinel is not responsible for losses arising from any of these risk factors, whether or not a scan was conducted prior to the loss.

05

No Warranty of Accuracy

While Sentinel makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, timely, and complete information, we make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any information generated by the Service. Threat databases are updated on a continuous basis but necessarily lag behind the development of novel attack vectors, newly deployed malicious contracts, and zero-day exploits.

A threat that does not appear in our database may nonetheless represent a genuine risk. Conversely, a contract flagged by our system may have been remediated or may be incorrectly categorized. No automated threat detection system achieves 100% accuracy. Sentinel does not warrant that any particular threat will be detected or that any scan result is free from false positives or false negatives.

You should independently verify any critical findings before taking action. For significant decisions — such as revoking approvals for high-value assets, switching wallets, or avoiding a protocol — consult additional sources and, where appropriate, a qualified security professional.

06

Third-Party Links and Content

The Service may contain links to, or incorporate data from, third-party websites, protocols, applications, and services. These links and integrations are provided for informational and technical purposes only and do not constitute an endorsement, approval, or recommendation of any third-party product, service, protocol, or entity.

Sentinel has no control over the content, privacy practices, security, availability, or accuracy of third-party services. Sentinel is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of any third-party link or service accessed through or referenced by the Sentinel platform. You access third-party services at your own risk and should review their own terms of use and privacy policies.

07

Forward-Looking Statements

Any statements regarding future features, product roadmap, detection capabilities, coverage expansion, or other planned developments of the Service are aspirational descriptions of intent and are not guarantees, promises, or representations of future performance or availability.

Product features, supported chains, threat database coverage, and service capabilities may change at any time, including being reduced, modified, or discontinued. Sentinel undertakes no obligation to update forward-looking statements to reflect subsequent events or circumstances.

08

Jurisdictional Variations

Securities laws, cryptocurrency regulations, money transmission regulations, and other legal frameworks governing digital assets differ significantly by jurisdiction and are subject to rapid change. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice regarding the applicability of any law in any jurisdiction to any particular user, asset, or transaction.

It is your sole responsibility to determine whether your use of the Service, or any action you take in connection with information provided by the Service, is lawful in your jurisdiction. The Service may not be available or appropriate for use in all jurisdictions. Sentinel reserves the right to restrict access to the Service in any jurisdiction where such access would violate applicable law.

If you are uncertain about the legal status of any digital asset or activity in your jurisdiction, you should seek independent legal advice before proceeding.

09

Past Performance and Historical Data

References to historical security assessments, past threat detections, or previously identified vulnerabilities in any protocol or contract do not constitute a guarantee or warranty of future security or safety. A protocol that has not been exploited in the past may be exploited in the future. An audit conducted at a prior date does not account for subsequent changes to the codebase, underlying protocol, or economic conditions.

Security is not a static condition. The threat landscape changes continuously. A wallet or protocol that was assessed as low-risk on any given date may present higher risks at a later date due to newly discovered vulnerabilities, changed ownership of contracts, or evolution of attacker techniques. Sentinel recommends conducting scans regularly rather than relying on the result of a single past assessment.

10

Tax Disclaimer

Revoking token approvals, transferring digital assets, and other actions you may take in connection with a Sentinel scan may constitute taxable events in your jurisdiction. In many jurisdictions, cryptocurrency transactions — including swaps, transfers, and certain approval interactions — are subject to capital gains tax, income tax, or other taxes.

Sentinel does not provide tax advice and is not qualified to do so. Nothing in the Service should be construed as guidance on the tax treatment of any transaction or action. You should consult a qualified tax professional familiar with digital asset taxation in your jurisdiction before taking any action that may have tax consequences. Tax treatment of digital assets varies widely by country and is subject to change with limited advance notice.

11

Security Vulnerability Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability in the Sentinel platform, we encourage you to report it through our responsible disclosure process. Please send a detailed description of the vulnerability, including steps to reproduce, affected components, and potential impact, to [email protected].

We commit to acknowledging vulnerability reports within 72 hours, providing a status update within 7 business days, and working with reporters toward a coordinated disclosure timeline. Sentinel does not pursue legal action against researchers who conduct security testing in good faith and in compliance with this disclosure policy. We do not offer a formal bug bounty program at this time but recognize significant contributions publicly where reporters consent.

12

Acceptance of Risk

By accessing or using the Sentinel Service, you expressly acknowledge that: (i) you have read and understood this Disclaimer in full; (ii) you understand and accept the risks associated with cryptocurrency, digital assets, and decentralized protocols as described herein; (iii) you understand that the Service is an informational tool and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice; (iv) you accept full and sole responsibility for all decisions you make in connection with information provided by the Service; and (v) you agree that Sentinel Labs, Inc. shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or adverse consequence arising from your use of or reliance on the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
